BERASTAGI
Berastagi is a lovely tourist town. It is located on Karo highlands. The town
is famous for its plantations and various kinds of flowers, vegetables and fruit. The
most famous fruit is passion fruit. Berastagi is sixty-six kilometres southwest of
Medan. It is about four thousand, five hundred and ninety-four feet above sea level.
There are some hotels at this lovely town. One of them is a pleasant colonial-style
hotel with a golf course. If you go to Gundaling Hill, you can see a clear view of
two volcanoes, namely, Mount Sibayak and Mount Sinabung. Visitors can enjoy
the charming scenery of the active mountainside of Mount Sibayak and Mount
Sinabung. It takes about three hours to climb Mount Sibayak.

Rahmat Museum & the International Wild Animal Gallery is one of the museums
in Medan. Rahmat Museum & Gallery is located at Jalan S. Parman No.

species of fauna collection from various countries. This museum is also recorded
in Record Book and gets the International appreciation in conservation field for
animal conservation. In this Gallery there are various wild animal collections. The
atmosphere of the museum & gallery is pleasant and the building architecture is
beautiful. The good situation can bring the visitors into the world of the wild animal
life. The visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature and the various kinds of animals
from different places in the world. This museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday
from 9 o’clock in the morning to 6 o’clock in the evening. The guides in the museum
